The heartless beast rips flesh from bone
Feeding on life and others pain
The taste of tears its favourite feast
The souls of damned are its to drain.
It knows not what it does to me
It breaks my mind so solemnly
With words it does not understand
Destroying life that was so grand.
Different faces for different needs
Filling souls with seeds of doubt
You're taken to a darkened place
And once you're there, there's no way out.
So here I am, inside the dark
The beast has really made its mark
Lost all hope, I lie in wake
My life is but the beasts to take.

So I am staying home due to sickness. Thought this would be a nice time to write and post some poetry. I wrote the first part of this in class on Friday, last period. Someone had really gotten on my nerves, and I decided to write this instead of leaving the classrom. Finished it today. I think this one turned out quite alright!
